Teatro
Italian
Teatro, with its high ceilings and ethereal blue lighting, resembled a Florentine chapel so much that I had the urge to genuflect at the bar. It seems my instincts were only slightly skewed: the original building was, in fact, a synagogue. Today, its pious arches mix with an urban sleekness to become the aptly named Teatro (translation: "theater"), a modern Italian eatery in the heart of the theater district.
